Dr. Bernat Bardagil

Dr. Bernat Bardagil is a Catalan linguist who studies Amazonian languages, with a focus on Panará (Jê family) and Mỹky (isolated). His research combines a descriptive and theoretical approach to language, in particular to the morphosyntax of participants (case marking of core arguments, the syntactic status of obliques, and grammatical relations more generally), with a strong focus on language documentation and revitalization. At the University of Groningen, he teaches in the Minorities and Multilingualism programme.
